Meyer jeweters Presents: Conference Set On Disabilities Kadima will host the Third Con- ference on Adults with Psychi- atric Disabilities at Temple Beth El on Wednesday, May 31, at 7 p.m. "Chronic Schizophrenia: Hope and Choices: will feature Lori Schiller, author of The Quiet Room. Lori Schiller and her mother, Nancy, will share a Jew- ish family's perspective, offering a look into the experience of psy- chosis. The panel discussion will be joined by Dr. Elliot Luby, a pro- fessor of psychiatry and law at Wayne State University; and Dr. Leonard Lachover, staff psychi- atrist at Sinai Hospital. Prior to the conference, Lori Schiller will attend book signing at Barnes and Noble at Telegraph and Maple. Kadima, the sponsor of the event, is a non-profit, non-sec- tarian mental health agency, pro- viding programs and services to men and women with psychiatric disabilities.
