U.S., Israel Military Drill Jerusalem (JTA) — The United States and Israel carried out a joint military exercise to remove "wounded" soldiers from a U.S. 6th Fleet aircraft carrier. U.S. Marines taking part in the exercises Sunday were flown by helicopter to Haifa's Rambam medical center, where they re- ceived simulated treatment from Israeli emergency medical staff, Israel Television reported. The drill was part of a series of joint military exercises taking place in Israel this month.
