Adat Shalom
Lunch, Program

ChaZaKaH, the Adat Shalom se-
niors group, will feature "The
Geritol Follies" at a program and
luncheon beginning at 12:30 p.m.
on Thursday, May 25. The lunch,
will be followed by a video pre-
sentation by this senior troupe of
singers and dancers.
The program is open to the
community. There is a $5 charge
for ChaZaKaH members and $6
fee for non-members. Send checks

Young At Heart
Holiday Event

Young at Heart Seniors from
Congregation. Beth Achim will
have a Lag B'Omer get together
at noon, Thursday, May 18.
The Rev. James Lyons,
founder and executive director of
the Ecumenical Institute for Jew-
ish -Christian Studies, will speak
on "Understanding the Twenti-
eth Century in Twenty Minutes."
Bagels, rolls, cake and coffee will
be served at a charge.

Women's Group
Annual Meeting

Harlene Winnick Appelman will
address the Jewish Federation's
Women's Division 49th annual
meeting May 24, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
Coffee and registration begin
at 9:45 a.m., and the program will
begin at 10:15 a.m.
There is a $20 charge for the
program and luncheon. Babysit-
ting is available for children 2 and
older if reserved by May 18.
To honor seating requests or
for more details, call the Women's
Division, (810) 6424260, by May
18.
To reflect structural changes
and the broadening of financial
resource development initiatives,
the Women's Division of the Jew-
ish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit will propose to have its
organization renamed Women's
Campaign and Education De-
partment.
The vote by the Women's Di-
vision board members will take
place during the division's annu-
al meeting. The vote will be based
on the organization's constitution
and by-laws. The proposed name
change would not be implement-
ed publicly until May of 1996.
