William Mandel of Beverly Hills,

the engagement of their children,
Michael Brian Garfinkel and
Stacey Pamela Mandel.
Michael graduated from the
University of Michigan with a
bachelor of arts degree, and
UCLA School of Law with a ju-
ris doctor degree. He is practic-
ing law with the firm of Pillsbury,
Madison, Sutro in Los Angeles.
Stacey received her bachelor
of arts degree from the Univer-
sity of California at Santa Bar-
bara and a master's degree in
social work from the University
of Southern California School of
Social Work. She is a program di-
rector at Jewish Family Services
in Los Angeles.
An August wedding is planned.
