Morgenthau B'nai B'rith Women
will have its annual Spring Fling
Luncheon at the Midrasha in
Southfield on May 10 at noon.
Entertainment will be musical
memories of the 30s and 40s with
songs by George Gershwin and
Cole Porter, featuring the Mar-
tin Scot Kosins Trio: Mr. Kosins
on the piano, Al Martin on bass
and Ken Everts on drums. Mr.
Kosins is a composer, whose mu-
sic has been performed and
recorded internationally. He has
received an ASCASP Composers'
Award and has and his work per-
formed by the Detroit Sympho-
ny Orchestra under the direction
of Neville Marriner.

Sets Installation

Marshall-Israel Chapter, B'nai
B'rith Women, will have its in-
stallation luncheon on Thursday,
May 11, at noon at Farina's Ban-
quet Center, 2485 Coolidge.

Sisterhood Plans
Book Reviews

The sisterhood of Adat Shalom
Synagogue has planned two book
discussion meetings set for Tues-
day, May 16 and 23.
At the first session, Rabbi
Daniel Nevins will present a re-
view of Literary Murder, a mur-
der mystery by Batya Gur. On
May 23, Rabbi Efry Spectre will
discuss Max Apple's Roommates,
the memoir of a Jewish michi-
gan man and his grandfather.
Both sessions will begin with
coffee at 12:30 p.m., followed by
the presentations and discussion
at 1 p.m.

Yiddish Classes
Are Offered

Women's American ORT and
National Council of Jewish
Women will hold a spring session
of Yiddish classes. The morning
session will begin Monday, May
15, 10 a.m. in the ORT confer-
ence room, 31275 Northwestern
Hwy. in the Woodcreek Officen-
ter. The evening session will be-
gin Tuesday, May 16, at 7 p.m.
at Cranbrook Center North,

Health Screen
For Seniors

"The Doctor is In" is a weekly
health screening available on
Thursdays at the Jimmy Pren-
tis Morris Jewish Community
Council from 1-3:30 p.m. Dr.
Aubrey Goldman and Shirley
Kramer in cooperation with
Sinai Hospital offer blood pres-
sure and fasting blood sugars at
no charge.

Fitness Day
For Seniors

On Wednesday, May 31, Na-
tional Senior Fitness Day will be
celebrated at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Jewish Community Cen-
ter. The events will be held out-
doors at the track, from 12:30
p.m. and last until 2:30 p.m.
The day, co-sponsored by Jew-
ish Federation Apartments and
the Jewish Community Center,
celebrates the vitality and well-
being of older adults and empha-
sizes the importance of leading
a healthy lifestyle. Activities will
include warm-up exercises led by
professional fitness staff, a walk-
