Eliminator

Larry Sandler picked a perfect
time to bowl 140 pins over aver-
age in a three-game series.
Thanks to his extra effort dur-
ing league play, Sandler won the
Metropolitan Detroit B'nai B'rith
Bowling Association's Spring
Eliminator Tournament.
Sandler, who averages 185 in
the Pisgah League, topped a field

Expanded hours for the outdoor
pool and a $30,000 project to
smooth the bottoms of the out-
door and Camp Ruth pools have
been announced by officials at
the Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center.
It's hoped that the improve-
ment project will be completed
by mid-May so the outdoor pool
can open before the Memorial
Day weekend.
Here are the new outdoor pool
hours (the JCC building will close
30 minutes after the pool closes):
- Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Monday through Thursday,
6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m.
- Saturday, 1-7 p.m.

Rosen special-needs pool are ex-
pected to begin in mid-May and
the health club will be open from
7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Memorial
Day (Monday, May 29). In the
past, the club closed at 1 p.m. on

eight B'nai B'rith leagues entered
the three-round tournament.

Sandy Mandel were awarded
special prizes.
