Davis-Ellis

Goldie and David Nalven of
Mendham, N.J., announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Karen Tracy Ellis, to Derek Von
Davis, son of the late Sue Ann
Eberline of Plymouth.
Karen earned a bachelor of sci-
ence degree in psychology at
Eastern Michigan University.
She is working towards a mas-
ter's degree in public admin-
istration at Wayne State
University. She is employed as
the director of Rehabilitation Ser-

vices, with Service Master Re-
habilitation at Heartland Com-
munity Care Center.
Derek earned a bachelor of
business administration at East-
ern Michigan University. He is
working towards his juris doctor
at Thomas Cooley Law School.
He is employed at ACE Controls,
Inc. as a Purchasing and Plan-
ning Manager.
A September wedding is
planned.

Linda (Shapiro) Hinshon of
Southfield and Robert Hinshon
of Northville proudly announce

Patrick "Scott" Hinshon, to Shel-
by Maureen Lawrence, daughter
of Richard and Sandra Lawrence
of Columbia Heights.
Scott will graduate in June
from the University of Minneso-

to Medical School as an orthotics
practitioner. Shelby has her de-
gree in social work from Augs-
burg College in Minneapolis and
will complete her master's of so-
cial work later this year.
The couple will be married in
late April in Minneapolis and
plan to relocate to Grand Rapids
in the fall.
