Passover with a model seder.
More than 220 people attended
the event led by Joy Kaplan, di-
rector of the Temple Beth El's
nursery school.
The seder began when the
imah (mother), Rebecca Segel,
said the prayer over the candles.
Next, the abba (father), Kyle
Davidoff, recited the kiddush.

Temple Beth El's nursery just
completed another interesting
project. Students made stamp-
painting quilt squares for baby
quilts for children who have
AIDS. The three baby
quilts will soon be pre-
sented to AIDS chil-
dren at the Orchards,
a community outreach
agency.

that a magical event
occurred last month. A
musical celebration
was held at the apart-
ments in honor of the
bat mitzvah of Melis-
sa Klein, 13, of Farm-
ington Hills. Melissa,
daughter of Linda
and Steven Kaplan
regularly visited the
apartments as part of
her mitzvot program
at Temple Israel. She
was influenced by Elaine
Greenberg, musical director of
Temple Israel Choir.
