Bratemen.
Sam and Gail Novetsky have been affiliated with the
Young Israel movement for many years. During that time,
Mr. Novetsky has served as gabbai, vice president and
president of Young Israel of Greenfield.

A native Detroiter,
Leonard has been
Shaarey Sedek's execu-
tive director for many
years, past president of
the Shaarey Zedek Men's
Club and has served on
the synagogue's board of
trustees. In earlier years, he served as youth director.
Ann was a teacher in the Shaarey Zedek Religious School for 32 years,
inspiring many generations of children. In addition, she chairs the syn-
agogue's Service With Love Committee.

May 1, at noon at the
Zionist Cultural Cen-
ter in Southfield.
Dr. Ben-Gad will
discuss the impact of
the Israel-PLO negoti-
ations upon Israeli so-
ciety and how they will affect the 1996 Israeli elections.
Lecturer and political analyst, the speaker is au-
thor ofPolitics, Lies and Videotape, which is composed
of 3000 questions and answers on the realities of to-
day's Middle East. A former deputy-mayor of Netanya,
Dr. Ben-Gad received the Boris Smolar Award for ex-
cellence in Mideast commentary and America jour-
nalism in 1975. In 1977, he covered the Israel-Egypt
peace conference from Cairo. Born in Tripoli, Libya,
Dr. Ben-Gad received his Ph.D. degree from Dropsie
University in Philadelphia.
