Family Groups
Work To Help

Sunday, April 30, will mark
Adat Shalom Synagogue's
first Yad B'Yad (Hand-in-
Hand) Families in Action
Day. Each religious school
family will choose a volun-
teer activity to do that day
with the entire family.
Using a list of activities
developed jointly by religious
school volunteers and staff
and the synagogue's Social
Action Committee, family
groups will help members of
both the Jewish and the gen-
eral communities.
Among the day's projects,
families will deliver Meals On
Wheels, clean up the trout
stream at the Detroit Zoo and
the West Bloomfield Nature
Trail, visit Jewish residents
of area nursing homes, do
spring clean-up at the Ronald
McDonald House in Detroit,
and serve a meal at the
Harbor Light Center.
The program has been
coordinated by Education and
Youth Director Ron Leff. For
information, call the Youth
and Education office, 626-
2153.
