Fame Games
Are Aug. 20

The ninth annual Michigan Jew-
ish Sports Hall of Fame Games
will be held Sunday, Aug. 20, at
the Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center in West Bloom-
field.
Approximately 90 Jewish ath-
letes with disabilities are ex-
pected to take part in the Games,
which will begin with opening
ceremonies at 10 a.m. and con-
clude with a closing ceremony,
awards and a dinner-dance.
There will be competition in
track and field, swimming and
basketball. Following a lunch
break, a celebrity halftime exhi-
bition is planned.
The Hall of Fame and the JCC
are co-sponsors of the Games. For
