Jer- ry Harju, author ofNorthern Re- flections a collection of stories about growing up in the Upper Peninsula during the 1940s, will read from his latest book: North- ern D'Lights. Library Hosts Music Event The Janet Tenaj and Sven An- derson Ensemble will perform Sunday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Oak Park Arts and Cultural Commission continuing series of musical performances at the Oak Park Library. Ms. Tenaj, jazz vocalist and arranger, is an Oak Park resi- dent who is making an encore visit to the library. With Mr. An- derson, she has traveled throughout the United States and Canada performing at the Montreux-Detroit Jazz Festival, the Ottawa International Jazz Festival and at numerous oth- er outdoor and indoor concerts. Mr. Anderson is an accom- plished pianist who teaches mu- sic at Osborn High School in Detroit. The conert is free of charge and is open to the public.
