aers hip of Je ivis , b q k% Book Bites Plans Discussion The Kommandant's Mistress by Sherri Szeman will be the fea- tured book in the next Book Bites discussion series which will take place on Tuesday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. This book is the story of the relationship between the kommandant of a Nazi concen- tration camp and the Jewish in- mate he makes his mistress. Sponsored by the Cultural Commission of Congregation Beth Achim, this session will be held at the home of Diane Sil- verstein. The reviewer for the evening will be Irma Glaser. Dinner Honors Mary Fisher Planned Parenthood of South- east Michigan will present a "Tribute to Mary Fisher" Lun- cheon, featuring keynote speak- er Mary Fisher on Thursday, May 4. The event, chaired by Planned Parenthood Advisory Board Member Carol Klein, will be held at Temple Beth El. Planned Par- enthood will pay tribute to Mary Fisher for her continuous efforts in educating the public on a na- tional level, about AIDS and what we all can do to help find a cure. Proceeds from the after- noon will benefit Planned Par- enthood of Southeast of Michigan and the Family AIDS Network, which was created by Mary Fish- er in 1992. Tickets for the event are: $50 luncheon ticket for one; $100 friend — luncheon ticket; $500 patron — five luncheon tickets; and $1000 benefactor — table for ten at the luncheon and two tic- kets to a private reception with Mary the evening before at the home of Robert Larson.
