Faced At Symposium

reative Grandparenting Symposium
II.,Be The Best Grandparent You Can
Be! will be held at the Jewish Commu-
nity Center โ€” at Maple-Drake on Sunday,
April 23, and at Jimmy Prentis Morris on
Tuesday, April 25. It will address contempo-
rary issues facing today's grandparents.
April 23 at Maple-Drake will feature, from
7-8 p.m., Dr. Arthur Kornhaber 'The Dr. Spock
of Grandparenting"; from 8:10-9:10 p.m. Sondra
Schwartz, with the Merrill Palmer Institute and
WSU, will discuss "Maintaining a Relation-
ship with Your Grandchildren after Divorce";
also at this time, Helena Koenig, director of
Grandtravel, will talk on vacations for grand-
parents and grandchildren.
April 25 at JPM will feature, from 7-8 p.m.,
Dr. Ralph Cash, pediatrician and advice colum-
nist, who will give hints for passing on accumulated wisdom. From 8:10-
9:10 p.m. Harlene Appelman, director of Educational Services, Agency
for Jewish Education, will discuss "Will My Grandchildren Be Jewish?"

Judith Rosenberg, Claude Schochet,
Deanna Sperka Gary Torgow, Wendy
Wagenhelrn and Dr. Jeffrey Weingarten.
Nominee for a two-year term is Bar-
bara Levin; one-year term nominee is
Rabbi Daniel Nevins.
Additional nominations for any elec-
tive office may be made by petition
signed by at least five qualified delegates.
Only one nominee may be named in each
petition. Petitions must be delivered to
the Council office by April 28.
The slate was submitted by the Coun-
cil's nominating committee, chaired by
Jeannie Weiner. Committee members
are James Bellinson, Carol Wientraub
Fogel, Arline Gould, Norman D. Katz,
Barbara Goldman Kratchman and
George Mann.

ward winning, rock 'n roll children's entertainer Craig Taubman o Craig 'n Co, will
perform at the Maple-Drake Jewish Community Center on Sunday, May 7, for two
special shows.
At 3:30 p.m. he will perform a special Jewish Family Concert to support the release of
"My Jewish Discovery," his new release of Jewish music and stories for the entire family.
A special Craig 'n Co. show has been added at 11 a.m. where Craig will perform selec-
tions from his Walt Disney Records recordings.Ticket prices are $4 for children; $6 for
adult Center members; $7 for children; $10 for adults for non-members; children 2 and
under are free.
Joined by his four piece "company," Craig has become a family fa-
' . vorite with his three Craig 'n Co. albums produced for Walt Disney
Records.
Highlights of "My Jewish Discovery" include an ode to Jewish food,
"Delightful," the doo-wop "Shabababat Shalom," the hip-hop
"Chanukah Rap" and "Holi-daze." Craig's tribute to Jewish holidays.
