Cantor Sings
At The JPM

Cantor Gail Hirschenfang of
Temple Beth El will perform at
the Jimmy Prentis Morris Jew-
ish Community Center on Tues-
day, April 11, at 1 p.m. Cantor
Hirschenfang's performance is
the second in a four-part musical
series featuring local cantors in
concert.
Gail Hirschenfang is one of the
first invested women cantors in
the United States. She graduated
from the Hebrew Union College
School of Social Music in 1981
and received her master of social
music in 1988.
She has served on the board of
the American Conference of Can-
tors and currently serves as can-
torial chair of the UAHC
Commission on Synagogue
Music.
The series will continue on
May 9 when Cantor Howard
Glantz of Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue will perform with his
guitar and on June 13 when Can-
tor Norman Rose and his wife
Euni Rose of Temple Emanu-El
will perform.
Admission is free to Center
members. Call JPM, 967-4030,

Thriller Staged
At Bonstelle

Agathie Christie's thriller Ten
Little Indians will be performed
at Wayne State University's Bon-
stelle Theatre on April 21-30.
The play deals with 10 people
with seemingly nothing in com-
mon who are all mysteriously
summoned to Indian Island off
the coast of Devon, England.
Performances will be on Fri-
days and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and
Sundays at 2 p.m. April 21-30.
Tickets are available by calling

2960.
