Freshman Prize is award-
ed annually to first-year
students at the University
of Michigan whose academic
achievement during the first se-
mester on campus places them
in the upper 5 percent of their col-
lege class. Students must also
earn 14 credit hours or more.

School graduates, received the
award. Ryan is in the honors col-
lege majoring in biology, chem-
istry and political science. He is
a staff writer for the Michigan
Daily. liana is also in the honors
college. She will major in Juda-
ic studies or economics. She reg-
ularly attends Sabbath dinner at
the U-M Hillel House.

meeting recently at Temple Kol
