Program Set

Ellen Sandweiss-Hodges will per-
form in "A Jewish Musical Revue:
A Bisl This and a Bisl That," a
benefit performance for the nurs-
ery and Sunday schools of Work-
men's Circle/Arbeiter Ring at 8
p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the
Workmen's Circle Educational
Center, 26341 Coolidge, in Oak
Park.
Ms. Sandweiss-Hodges, with
piano accompanist Barbara Rit-
ter, will offer songs from Broad-
way and Yiddish theater, as well
as traditional Yiddish music and
Israeli folk music.
Admission is $6. Refreshments
will follow the program. For
reservations, call Workmen's Cir-

Opera Lovers
Hear Trio

The three "amigos" will perform
on Sunday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m.
at Oakland University's Varner
hall. Mezzo-soprano Irina Leldit-
man, who has made Detroit her
homebase after immigrating to
the United States.
The concert will feature areas,
duets and trios. Pianist David
Wilson will be at the keyboard.

Plan Program

Birmingham Temple's Tem-
plesingers will present the an-
nual musical program on Friday,
April 7, at 8 p.m. This year's pro-
gram, "Out of the Woods," is un-
der the direction of Arthur Rose
and written by Diane Bernstein
with Sandie Landau and Arthur
Rose.
The story revolves around the
adventures of two who are at-
tempting to get out of the woods
of superstition and narrow think-
ing into the light of rational liv-
ing.
