The next installment of the De-
troit Jewish Judicial Seminar will
be on Monday, April 10, in the
Riverside Conference Room
700A, of the Detroit City/County
Building, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
The topic led by Rabbi Herschel
Finman, will be "The O.J. Simp-
son Trial - Could it Have Hap-
pened in a Jewish Court of Law?"
and will compare the court pro-
cedures of the American and Jew-
ish court systems.
The lecture is open to the gen-
eral public. Cost for kosher lunch
is $10. Shmura matzah will be
distributed to all the participants.

Awareness
Events Planned
From April 5-9, Wednesday
through Sunday, Cobo Center in
Detroit will be the site of three
major AIDS awareness and edu-
cation programs.
The Names Project, in co-spon-
sorship with the Detroit Depart-
ment of Health, will present a
5,000 panel display of the AIDS
Memorial Quilt. Free to the pub-
lic, this will be the largest indoor
display of the Quilt ever. Open-
ing ceremonies will be on
Wednesday, April 5, 7:30 p.m.
The Quilt will remain open
Thursday through Saturday, 9
a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m.
through the closing ceremony at
6 p.m. New panels may be
brought any time during the dis-
play and school groups are en-
couraged to attend.
"Quilt: A Musical celebration"
will weave stories of people whose
lives have been touched by the
AIDS Memorial Quilt. "Quilt" will
include matinee, evening, and
special student performances
April 6-9. Tickets are $15 for
adults, $7.50 for students and are
available through Ticket Master.
Proceeds will benefit local AIDS
service organizations. For ticket

The 1995 Michigan Conference
on AIDS will be held at the
Crowne Plaza Pontchartrain Ho-
tel, adjacent to Cobo Center, and
is themed "The Changing Faces
of Family: AIDS in Michigan".
Keynote speaker will be Mr.
Cleve Jones, founder of the
Names Project AIDS Memorial
Quilt. A pre-conference workshop
will be Wednesday, April 5, will
be on the HIV/AIDS Outreach,
Education, and Demonstration
