Dr. Kaufman was a graduate of the University of Detroit Dental School and a member of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He was also a life member and past officer of the Hazel Park Lions Club. In 1994, he was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow Award which is the highest international Lions Award for dedicated humani- tarian services. The Money M. Kaufman Scholarship Fund also was established through the Hazel Park Lions. Dr. Kaufman was a Worl War II Army veteran, fought in Nor- mandy, a member of the Pan- thers 66th. Division and a member of the Bale Post Jew- ish War Veterans. Dr. Kauf- man also was a member of B'nai B'rith. Dr. Kaufman was the loving son of the late Jack W. Kauf- man. He is survived by his mother, Esther; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Joseph Weinman of Farming- ton Hills. Interment at Mach- pelah Cemetery.
