SALLY LONDON PINKAS,

70, former Detroiter of Kew
Garden Hills, N.Y., died March
18. Mrs. Pinkas was a Holo-
caust survivor and was active
in the Radomer societies in De-
troit and New York. She is sur-
vived by her husband, Milton;
daughter and son-in-law, Mari-
lyn and Jim Siegel of Syosset,
N.Y.; daughter, Maxine Hoff-
man of Valley Stream, N.Y.;
grandchildren, David and Jen-
nifer Hoffman; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Edith and
Marvin Kozlowski, Helen and
Harry Bowman of West Bloom-
field; aunt, Esther Zyskind of
Southfield. Interment in New
York.

SYLVIA POCKRASS, 80, of

Oak Park, died March 18. Mrs.
Pooh-ass was the the beloved
wife of the late Adolph Pock-
rass, mother of the late
Bernard Binder, sister of the
late Bea Tannenbaum. She is
survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, David and
Harriet Binder of Boynton
Beach, Fla., Ronald and Jean
Binder of Garnerville, N.Y.;
daughter and son-in-law, Ar-
lene and Robert Riemer of
Southfield; daughter-in-law,
Betty Binder of Miami; 10
grandchildren; 11 great-grand-

JIMMY (GROUCHO) RACH-
LEFF, 88 formerly of Detroit

and Oak Park, of Oakland,
Calif., died March 11. Mr.
Rachleff is most remembered
as a comedian, entertainer and
master of ceremonies at many
charitable events. He was a
member of Congregation Beth
Israel and Chabad of the East
Bay in Berkeley, Calif., as well
as the Richmond Torah Center
in San Francisco.
He was the beloved husband
of the late Esther Rachleff. He
is survived by his son, Marshall
of Oak Park; daughter and son-
in-law, Mitzi and Dr. Michael
Cahn (formerly Max Crandall)
of Berkeley; grandsons, Colin,
Evan and Jeremy Crandall,
Larry Rachleff, all of California;
brothers, Jack of West Orange,
