Israel Study Scholarships Congregation Beth Achim is offering three scholarships for col- lege age students. Two of the scholarships are exclusively for study in Israel. The other schol- arship is for study in Hebraic/ Jewish studies at a recognized college or university. These schol- arships range in the amounts of $1,500-$2,000. In addition two of the scholarships can be used for one semester or an entire year of study. To qualify, the applicant must be presently attending a college or university. The application deadline is April 30. These schol- arships are open to the commu- nity. Israel Trip Deadline Nears Tri-Trippin' in Israel is sponsored by the Hillel Foundations of Metro Detroit, Michigan State University, and the University of Michigan. The trip is for Jewish college students and young adults, 18-30, who at- tend a college in Michigan or are Michigan residents. Tri-Trippin' in Israel will leave Detroit May 8. The trip cost in- cludes round trip transportation from Detroit, three kosher meals a day, accommodations for 10 nights, luxury buses, guides. A completed application and payment are due March 31. Federation Phonathon Organizations, area congrega- tions and community volunteers will help close the Jewish Fed- eration's 1995 Allied Jewish Campaign during the April 2- 5 Days of Decision phonathon at the Max M. Fisher Building. The community-wide event will be the last opportunity to reach the Campaign goal of $27 million.
