The change'll do you good. 78 S everal Detroiters traveled to California recently not just to catch some sunlight but to celebrate the double 50th wedding anniversaries of former Detroiters Edith and Bob Tannenbaum of Carmel and Aaron and Nora Lazaroff of Encino. Edith Tannenbaum and Aaron Lazaroff are siblings. Their sister is philanthropist Emma Lazaroff Schaver of Southfield, who attended the event. The couples were married at the end of World War II. Edith and Bob Tannenbaum were married Feb. 4, 1945, af- ter a whirlwind courtship of seven days. They married in Los Angeles but lived in De- troit for a few months when Bob returned from the ser- vice. Aaron and Nora Kort Lazaroff met and courted for seven years in Detroit. They were both members of Habonim and were married on Jan. 15, 1945. ,The anniversary party was planned long distance by Judith Tannenbaum of Berkeley, Calif., and Debbie . Kort and two granddaughters, Alexis and Rachel of Seattle.
