On a tour of the classrooms, the teachers appeared to enjoy the lessons as well as a chance to be with like-minded profession- als. In one room, participants made puppets out of pieces of brightly colored felt; in another room, women danced in a circle, holding hands and singing. Many teachers said they would take the ideas they learned back to the classroom. "You are so into letters and all of that. You sometimes forget the Jewish things," said DeAnna Granitz, a Temple Israel nursery- school teacher.
