Cultural Diversity
Is Panel Topic

Higher education in the era of
multi-culturalism will be exam-
ined by the presidents of the Uni-
versity of Michigan, Michigan
State University and Wayne
State University at a Jewish Fed-
eration Forum noon luncheon on
April 10 at the Radisson Plaza in
Southfield.
The panel will offer insights
and answer questions from the
audience on how the three uni-
versities have strived to main-
tain the delicate balance of
cultural diversity as it relates to
both classroom and campus ac-
tivities.
The luncheon with the presi-
dents program is part of a series
sponsored by the Jewish Feder-
ation of Metropolitan Detroit
aimed at promoting involvement
in the Jewish community, as well
as enlightening participants on
political, economic and social is-
sues.
James J. Duderstadt is the
11th president of the Universi-
ty of Michigan. He served in var-
ious capacities within the
university's engineering depart-
ment. Before being named pres-
ident of Michigan State
University in 1993, M. Peter
McPherson held various roles in
finance and business. David
Adamany has been president and
professor of law and political sci-
ence at Wayne State University
since 1982.
There is a charge for the lun-
cheon program. For details or to
make reservations by March 27,
call the Jewish Federation's Com-
munity Outreach and Involve-
ment Department, (810)
642-4260.
