Creativity At The AJE Jewish educators are invited to participate in a hands-on work- shop titled "The Haggadah Comes Alive Through Art," on Thursday, March 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Agency for Jewish Education in Southfield. This workshop is part of the AJE NIRIM enrichment program for Jewish educators. This workshop will be pre- sented by Elana Weinberg, an artist from New York, and Raquel P. Gershon, director of the AJE Teacher's Resource Center. This program will present a variety of haggadot and discuss the use of illustration and inter- pretation. Participants will ana- lyze some artistic midrashim, create their own part of a Hag- gadah using this approach, and make a hands-on interactive Haggadah. Creativity nights at the Agency for Jewish Education of- fer the opportunity to create hands-on projects and activities to enliven the classroom and dis- cover resources available at the AJE Teacher's Resource Center. As part of Sinai's comprehensive approach to cancer care, Sinai Hospital is offering an eight week course in yoga and relaxation for people with cancer. The program is partially underwritten by the Hank Greenberg Oncology Fund. Participants will be charged $50 for the course. Our individualized program helps participants to deal more effectively with cancer through exercise, coping techniques and shared experiences. All classes are conducted by a certified yoga instructor who is also a breast cancer survivor.
