Tauber has established the Joel
D. Tauber Manufacturing Insti-
tute at the University of Michi-
gan's College of Engineering. The
goal of the program is to devel-
op a new breed of executive who
will be proficient in both engi-
neering and business.
The institute will combine the
strengths of the U-M Business
School and College of Engineer-
ing and include an active part-
nership with private industry.
