he dynasty continues in the
B'nai B'rith Volleyball
League. For the fifth con-
secutive season, Centenni-
al Lodge captured the "A"
Division championship.
Centennial finished with a 57-
18 record. Keidan went 53-22,
Morgenthau 26-49 and Brother-
hood II 14-61. No playoffs were
held.
The roster of Coach Joel Kauf-
man's Centennial team has re-
mained virtually the same
during the five-year run. In ad-
dition to Kaufman, the list in-
cludes Dr. Sheldon Stern, Dr.
Paul Kaye, Barry Leder, Mikhail
Epelman, Merton Simons, David
Lutz and Mark Carney.
"What's been the secret of our
success? We play well under
pressure. We don't crack," Kauf-
man said. "Also, because we've
been together so long, our team
chemistry is great."
Outside the volleyball court,
the Centennial players are-
attorneys, businessmen and
doctors. One owns an advertis-
ing agency, another is in the bed-
ding and mattress business and
another is a house painter. I -1
