Is Introduced

Congregation Beth Shalom and
Jewish Experiences For Families
will present "Music with Mau-
reen Shiffman and Coco" on Sun-
day, Feb. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon
for pre-schoolers, kindergartners
and their parents at Congrega-
tion Beth Shalom.
The focus of this program is on
the Alef Bet, the Hebrew alpha-
bet. Hands-on activities and ed-
ucation songs will be directed
toward teaching about Torah,
prayers, and the Hebrew lan-
guage, all on a primary level.
There is no fee. For informa-

a city-wide dance, Saturday, Feb.
25, from 8-11 p.m. at Congrega-
tion Beth Achim.
Hosted by Adat Shalom, Beth
Achim, Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses, Beth Shalom, B'nai
Moshe and Shaarey Zedek, the
dance will feature music by Star
Trax. Dress is casual.
The dance is free of charge to
existing and new Kadima mem-
bers; there is a charge for non-

From BBYO

The presidents of AZA and BBG
Michigan Region Councils, Owen
Alterman and Michelle Stem, are
attending the BBYO Interna-
tional Executive Board meetings
from Feb. 16-20 in Washington,
D.C. The agenda for these meet-
ings includes selecting themes
and programs for the upcoming
International BBYO Convention
in August.
AZAA basketball continues on
Sunday, Feb. 19, with seven games
from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the
Maple/Drake JCC. Competition
will continue through the end of
March. On Saturday, April 1, the
AZAA basketball tournament will
beheld. The championship game
will be played at 5:30 p.m. on Sun-
day, April 2. Michigan Region
AZAA championship team will
then compete in the sectional tour-
nament on April 7-9 in Milwaukee.
Three new volunteer advisers
have been appointed to work with
out AZA and BBG chapters. The
new appointees are Paul Niser,
Greenberg AZA; Mark Levine,
Sammy AZA; and Jackie Tichik,
Disraeli BBG. If you are inter-
ested in volunteering or want in-
formation about the program, call
the BBYO Chapter Service Cen-
ter, 788-0700.
