From Panim: Faces of Art and Culture in Israel Pissarro Exhibit In Israel Camille Pissarro (1830-1903), the renowned Jewish Impressionist painter, is the subject of a new Is- rael Museum exhibit that traces the various stages of the artist's development, from his early works on his native island of St. Thomas to the rural and urban scenes he painted before his death. The show, the largest ever ded- icated to the painter, includes paintings shown publicly for the first time.
