VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

COALITION ON TEMPORARY SMELTER (COTS), 26 Peterboro, Detroit,
exists to alleviate homelessness by providing emergency shelter, meals,
and an array of services which enable people to successfully pursue eco-

nomic self-sufficiency and decent affordable housing. COTS also advo-
cates for solutions to homelessness. COTS needs volunteers to prepare
and serve meals and /or sponsor a meal; to provide support and activities
to children; to sort donated clothing, and to help with maintenance (elec-
trical, carpentry, painting, etc.) The time commitment is variable.
