OUR RETAIL ROUNDUP
BOOK OF LOVE
BEAUTIFUL BROCADE
These exquisite Japanese wed-
ding albums are beautiful to
look at and kind to the environ-
ment. The rich, acid-free pages
are printed with categories to
commemorate the wedding.
They include family trees, gifts,
pages for photographs and a spe-
cial envelope to hold pressed
flowers from the bouquet. At a
size of 8 12" by 13", the album is
easy to store for years to come.
They are available through
Lemongrass, a new Chicago-
based catalog company which
sells an array of gift items.
"Many of our products are hand-
crafted by artisans," says owner
Robyn Harris. She also men-
tioned that the wedding books
will be in the spring and sum-
mer 1995 catalogs.
"This gown is one of our newest
pieces," says Jon Bradley, a bridal
designer at Studio Seven Inc. in
Chicago. The sleeveless sheer
yoke is reminiscent of the '50s
and is piped in the matching
brocade of the bodice and ball-
room skirt. Silver caviar beads and
pearls adorn the sweetheart of the
bodice. The gown is also available
in silk instead of brocade. "The
long white gloves are a must to
complete the look," he adds.
Suzanne Loiselle, of Suzanne's
Bridal Gallery in Farmington, be-
lieves Bradley's designs are
unique. "We carry several styles
and each one is different," says
Loiselle. Suzanne's Bridal Gallery
carries bridal gowns, bridesmaid
dresses, flower girl dresses and
a complete line of bridal
accessories.
