ball. Cover and let rest for 10
minutes. Divide dough in half.
Roll out half to 14x12-inch rec-
tangle. Spread with half the
hazelnut paste and half-diced
crystallized ginger. Roll up as for
jelly roll, starting from long side.
Moisten ends with water and
pinch to seal. Place, seam side
down, on greased baking sheet.
Repeat with remaining dough,
paste and ginger. Cover and let
rise in warm place till double,
about 1 hour. Bake in preheated
350 degree oven for 30-35 min-
utes. Cool thoroughly. Sprinkle
with confectioners sugar. Slice
3/4-inch thick on the diagonal.
Makes 2 loaves.

hand mixer, whisk eggs, sugar,
orange juice concentrate,
whiskey, nutmeg and cloves for
20 seconds or until frothy and
light. With motor running or mix-
er at medium speed, pour in melt-
ed margarine in slow steady
stream. Transfer to small
saucepan and whisk over medi-
um heat until thickened, 2-3 min-
utes. Do not stop whisking or
allow to boil or mixture will be
lumpy. Remove from heat im-
mediately and chill. When thor-
oughly chilled, fold in non-dairy
topping. Divide whiskey custard
between 4 parfait or small dessert
dishes. Before serving, top each
with small scoop of lemon sorbet.
Dust lightly with nutmeg and
serve at once.

innovator in the kosher
foods industry, is introduc-
ing 21 new Passover 1995 prod-
ucts which will suit a variety of
consumer needs during the holi-
day.
New products include two va-
rieties of Instant Cup of Soups,
Pizza Crust and Sauce Mix,
Sandwich Roll Mix, Mini Potato
Knish Mix and three varieties of
Fat Free Salad Dressing. Last
year's introduction of Passover
Egg Noodles was such a success
that this year Manischewitz is in-
troducing two new noodle vari-
eties: Extra Fine and Yolk Free.
Zesty Gefilte Fish, with jalapeno
peppers, capitalizes on the hot
and spicy wave that continues to
sweep the food industry.
A Holiday Mix containing
cashews, almonds and raisins
will be introduced. For dessert, a

mulated and packaging has been
redesigned to emphasize the new
Passover Bake Shoppe recipes.
This line also includes a new
Rocky Road Cookie, with
cashews, marshmallows and
chocolate chips.
The company invested a lot of
time in redesigning their entire
Passover cake mix product line
incorporating appetizing product
shots and contemporary graph-
ics.
Publicity Deadlines
The normal deadline for local news and publicity items is noon
Thursday, eight days prior to issue date. The deadline for birth
announcements is 10 a.m. Monday, four days prior to issue date;
out-of-town obituaries, 10 a.m. Tuesday, three days prior to issue
date.
All material must be typewritten, double-spaced, on 8 1/2 x 11
paper and include the name and daytime telephone number of
sender.
