Mrs. Rhodes, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., graduated from City College of New York and UTC. In the 1950's, she moved to Chattanooga and began her ca- reer teaching elementary school and Hebrew and Judaic studies. She was a member of Hadassah, VFW Post 1289 Auxilliary, the Jewish Cultural Arts Committee of the Jewish Community Foun- dation, the Congregation Beth Sholom executive board and the Jewish Community Center board and was honored in 1989 as "Vol- unteer of the Year" by the Jew- ish Community Federation.
