VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

14EMID, (Help Elderly Maintain Independence and Dignity), 1100 E. State

Fair, Detroit, serves seniors in north central Detroit with homemaker
assistance, transportation, small repairs, meal delivery, telephone con-
tacts and personal visits. Volunteers with an interest in working with
seniors are needed to make phone calls and personal visits to seniors. In
addition, knitting and crocheting instructors are needed. The estimated
time commitment is a minimum of one hour per week, up to as much time
as the volunteer is able to devote.
