Michigan Opera Theatre's musi-
cal adaptation of Aesop's Fables
will be the featured fare Jan. 22
at Temple Beth El when the
Loren B. Fischer Cultural Arts
Program for Children and Their
Families treats the community
to theater for the younger set. The
1 p.m. performance will showcase
MOT performers, Maria Cimarel-
li, soprano; Karl Schmidt, tenor;
and Mark Vondrak, baritone, and
Kevin Bylsma, director/accom-
panist.
The free performances, by lo-
cal and national artists, offer chil-
dren an opportunity to enjoy the
arts in an informal atmosphere
that invites audience participa-
tion. The series is a gift to the
community from Phillip B. and
Myrna R. Fischer.
