Mr. Esser became famous more than 20 years ago as direc- tor of Detroit's first successful cabaret-style dinner theater. Since then, he has appeared in over 50 original productions. Bar- bara Bredius, his long-term part- ner, was named "best actress" by the Detroit Free Press and "best vocalist" by Detroit Monthly. Also performing will be jazz guitarist Al Ayoub, whose many credits in- clude music director for Mr. Ess- er's State Fair shows and jazz fusion guitarist with the Bug Bedow band.
