ome of the goodies motor-
cyclists can look forward to:
a pair of off-road-worthy,
dual-purpose machines;
new-size motocross bikes for
youngsters; customized, mainly
American-made cruisers (no, it's
not a Harley-Davidson); a new
competitor in the hotly contested
600cc sport bike class; and a re-
designed Range-Rover of the mo-
torcycle world.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
Highlights from Honda include
an anniversary model and the
Shadow American Classic Edi-
tion.
Honda is celebrating the 20th
anniversary of its Gold Wing with
a "more athletic" '95 model that
will feature a lower seat and re-
calibrated front and rear sus-
pension settings. New colors will
be offered and the bikes will fea-
ture 20th Anniversary badges.
Prices will range from $11,199 to
$16,799.
Harley-Davidson is also cele-
brating an anniversary in 1995
— the Electra Glide's 30th.
The bike will become the corn-
pany's first nonracing model to
carry sequential port fuel injec-
tion. When the bike was intro-
duced in 1965, it was the first to
feature an electric starter.
Harley-Davidson says only
2,000 of the bikes will be pro-
duced. Electra Glide prices will
range from $13,850 to $17,500.
Harley-Davidson will also de-
but two new models: the FXSTSB
Bad Boy and the FLHT Electra
Glide Standard.
The Bad Boy is a modern pack-
age wrapped in nostalgia.
Though it's a soft tail, it looks like
an old-fashioned hard tail. And
the front end is styled after a
1948 Harley front fork. It'll cost
$13,850 to become a Bad Boy
owner.
The Electra Glide Standard is
an entry-level touring model that
Harley-Davidson says was in-
troduced in response to customer
requests for a simpler, lower-cost
Electra Glide. The Standard costs
$11,995.
For those riders who want a
cruiser but prefer Japanese tech-
nology, the Honda's new Shadow
American Classic Edition is
worth checking out.
Honda says it's modeled after
American V-twins of the '50s and
'60s, and this bike was born in the
U.S.A. It was designed in Amer-
ica and built in Marysville, Ohio.
