Nursery Honors Hebrew Names The Congregation Shaarey Zedek Beth Hayeled Nursery School will celebrate the Hebrew names of its four-year-old students at Family Havdalah ceremony. The West Bloomfield school will meet 6-7 p.m., Jan. 7; the Southfield school will gather Jan. 28. Rabbis Bitran, Gershon and Groner, along with officers of the synagogue, will present each child with a certificate and a Hav- dalah set. The sisterhood and LIFE (Learn- ing Is a Family Experience) pro- gram of Congregation B'nai Moshe will have a Tu B'Shevat Seder at the synagogue Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. The children in the pro- gram will present a play titled The Little Tree, as well as singing Tu B'Shevat songs and partici- pating in the seder/dinner. SZ Families Plan Weekend Jewish Experience For Families will sponsor a weekend getaway, Jan. 13-15, for all Congregation Shaarey Zedek families to spend quality time together in a setting that combines the beauty of na- ture and the atmosphere of Shab- bat. Staff will include Shaarey Zedek rabbis and teachers, as well as professionals from the Butzel Conference Center and JEFF Group care is provided for toddlers to teens. Soul Issues Series Focus Rabbi Herbert Yoskowitz's week- ly lunch and learn program will continue at Congregation Beth Achim on Tuesdays from 12:15- 1:30 p.m. at the synagogue. The subjects and the texts to be discussed include "Our Hidden Weaknesses"—I Samuel 9-13, "Guilt and the Sour—Psalm 32, "Defeating De- pression"—Jeremiah 11-12, 14- 18, 20, "Does God Protect Me?"—Psalm 91, "Returning to God"—Hosea 14, "Problems of Faith"—Exodus 5-6.
