Mrs. Hoffman was a restau- rant clerk, active at JCC for 28 years and a member of Pioneer Women. She also was past pres- ident and co-founder of Social Service Club whose primary work was to adopt orphans from Israel, raise money for Is- rael and the Allied Jewish Cam- paign. She received numerous awards from the Social Service Club for service and leadership; she also received a certificate of appreciation from the Allied Jewish Campaign. She gave time and energy to Golden Friendship Circle Club and the JCC; through her efforts the Golden Friendship Circle grew to a membership of 125 and was made into a family club which provided a place for senior cit- izens to gather. Mrs. Hoffman was the beloved wife of the late Fritz Hoffman and the late Max Red- er.
