that it was great exercise and a
wonderful calorie burner. Luckily, it

"I USED to go to the gym, but I found it took up lots of time.
I'd be too tired to study. In the summertime, I got into doing yoga.
It's a lot of stretching, so you're progressively getting into more
flexible positions. It improves your muscle tone and it's very relaxing.
Yoga puts you in touch with your own body."

"I WALK in the neighborhood, two miles a day if I can.
I take the biggest steps I can take. Occasionally,
I'll walk with my neighbor across the street."

"I'VE BEEN exercising since my army days in 1942. Now, I do
calisthenics with very light weights. And I walk at least five days a week —
quite often seven da_._:

wife (Bert) rides herAMrcise bike every single morning."

"I PLAY basketball at the University of Michigan rec facility three or four
nights a week and I do sit-ups and push-ups on my own almost every day."

"AT HOME, I have a semi-serious routine: the exercise bike, sit-ups
and push-ups. And, when I eat lunch in this area, I try to walk to the local
restaurant. In Ann Arbor, I always park quite a distance from the campus
and walk to class — more by circumstance than by design. If you've ever
been to Ann Arbor, you know what I mean."
