After serving as a Master Sergeant in the Army during World War II Mr. Rissman returned to Detroit, married his high school sweet- heart and raised four children. With his brothers, he built his father's E. Lafayette tailor shop into Indian Village Cleaners. He was past president of the National Dry Cleaning Insti- tute. He expanded into real es- tate development and then con- tinued to work at what became Rissman Investment. He con- tributed to civic and charitable causes including the Allied Jew- ish Campaign and the Mich- gian Cancer Foundation. He was interested in business, his- tory, politics, and internation- al affairs. He was an avid gar- dener and very involved with his six grandchildren. He was the dear brother-in-law of the late Geraldine Rissman.
