Richard Goldstone

Kwanzaa
Celebration

•Pleated Shades

The Black-Jewish Dialogue
Group of the Anti-Defamation
League and the South Oakland
NAACP will host a Kwanzaa Cel-
ebration at Hope United
Methodist Church in Southfield
on Jan. 8. An outgrowth of the
commitment of these two orga-
nizations to promote inter-group
understanding, this celebration
will bring families and friends to-
gether.
This is the opportunity for the
African-Americans in the group
to share the traditions of Kwan-
zaa. The groups have joined to-
gether for six years in celebration
of Passover. Kwanzaa, observed
Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, is a time for
African-Americans to celebrate
their heritage and community.
