Mr. Dershowitz's first attempt
at fiction is The Advocate's
Devil (Warner), the story of at-
torney Abe Ringel who gets his
big break when he takes on bas-
ketball superstar Joe Campbell.
Campbell, known as the
"White Knight," has been accused
of rape.
Ringel has as many doubts
about who will win as any betting
man watching a game between
the Orlando Magic and the L.A.
Clippers. Campbell is handsome
and well-liked, while his alleged
victim has a history of filing false
sexual harassment charges.
Then Ringel begins to take a
closer look at his client, and what
he finds leaves him anything but
certain about the case.

Jewish Community Center. Reg-
istration will be held on Sunday
from noon-1 pm.
Most events will be held at the
JCC except the special evening
programs. Bowling Tourna-
ment will be held December 25
at the Drakeshire Lanes in Farm-
ington. Talent Show will be
December 27 at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek. On December 28,
BBYO will hold the Dressy
Dance at Congregation Beth
Abraham Hillel Moses.
Convention events are only
open to fully registered partici-
pants. Applications and regis-
tration are being accepted until
1 pm Sunday afternoon at the
