Midrasha
Open House
On Jan. 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the
Midrasha Center for Adult
Jewish Learning will host a Com-
munity Open House for its
upcoming winter-spring semes-
ter of adult Hebrew classes. All
prospective new students are
invited.
Midrasha will offer a number
of new courses, including day and
evening beginner Hebrew con-
versation classes and an ad-
vanced Hebrew reading class on
Wednesdays nights.

Beth Shalom
Provides Shelter
Congregation Beth Shalom will
host the homeless Dec. 18-25 for
the second year. Members will
serve meals, provide transporta-
tion and sleep over in the con-
gregation's building. Congregants
have also provided gift-wrapped
presents to be given Dec. 25.
