I Tenth Anniversary

RUTH LITTMANN STAFF WRITER

t 90, Betty Fischer is hap-
py with life.
"I'm lucky," she says. "I
have bonus years."
Nearly 10 of her bonus years
have been spent at Fleischman
Residence, assisted living quar-
ters for the Jewish elderly. Last
Sunday, Mrs. Fischer joined the
activities honoring Fleischman's
10th anniversary.
The gala also celebrated the
10th anniversary of the newly

Gold. The young performers sang
and danced in costume to show
tunes spanning the decades.
Henry Grossman, 85, had been
feeling under the weather all
week, but attended the celebra-
tion anyway. He marveled at the
performers and also savored the
food: cakes, cookies, punch and
steamed salmon.
"It was beautiful," he says. "I
never ate such good fish. This was
something delicious."
