Students in the bar/bat mitzvah
program at Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue will participate in their sec-
ond Tallit-n-Tefillin Time
workshop Dec. 11. The program
will begin at 9 a.m. with parents
and students joining together for
tefillot (prayers), brunch, and an
educational program focusing on
bar/bat mitzvah and what it
means for both parents and chil-
dren.
During four sessions this year
the youth and their families will
explore a number of issues which
relate to the observance of this
importance milestone in their
lives.

Beth Shalom
Honors Students

At a presentation Dec. 10 at Con-
gregation Beth Shalom, the
Jeanette Serling scholarship
Fund will honor the following stu-
dents: Jennifer Levine, Brent
Pliskow, Brian Ruttenberg.
This scholarship fund is to ben-
efit post-bar mitzvah and bat
mitzvah youth.

Teen Connection
Lasera Show

BBYO/JCC Teen Connection will
see the Lasera Show at Cran-
brook Institute of Science Dec. 10.
The show will feature the music
of U2, Rush, Van Halen, the
Doors. Meeting at Cranbrook at
5:45 p.m., the program will con-
clude at 7:30 p.m. This program
is open to Teen Connection mem-
bers and first-time guests. There
is a charge; a pizza dinner is in-
cluded.
