nounce the engagement of their
daughter, Marni Nasia, to Can-
tor Evan Brian Rubin, son of Bar-
bara and Dr. Marvin Rubin of Ft
Lee, N.J.
Marni is the granddaughter
of Ruth and the late Cantor
Hyman J. Adler of Congrega-
tion B'nai David. She is em-
ployed as a secretary in the
home fashions division at Kmart
Headquarters in Troy and at-
tends Oakland Community
College pursuing a degree in

business fashion management.
Cantor Rubin studied with
Cantor Joseph Malovany and
Cantor Bernard Beer, among
others. He attended Yeshiva
University in New York where
he studied general music in
addition to concurrently holding
a cantorial position. He now
serves as cantor, ba'al koreh and
teacher for Congregation Etz
Chayim in Toledo, Ohio.
A September wedding is
planned at Young Israel of Oak
Woods in Oak Park.
