Rabbi Aaron Bergman: Change the
message.
One of the best ways to keep the
Jewish faith is by fighting inter-
marriage.
That was the message stressed
on Nov. 20, during a United Syn-
agogue of Conservative Judaism
seminar on the topic.
"If we want to preserve Jewish
identity, we have to take some
concrete steps," said Rabbi
Jerome M. Epstein, the chief ex-
ecutive officer/executive vice pres-
ident of the United Synagogue of
Conservative Judaism and the
keynote speaker. "I'm here be-
cause I believe we can reverse
that trend."
