She works almost ex- clusively with the human figure, setting up her stark and unset- tling tableaux amid mysterious and haunting backgrounds. The theatrical images are set up by the artist according to sketches and ideas thought out before- hand. Born and raised in Israel, Ms. Glaser is a self-taught photogra- pher whose work conveys a twi- light beauty, a unique blending of mythology and poetics of the body.
