R

ecreation: Every year, more and
more JNF parks and recreation
areas are being developed
where Israeli families can play or relax
in peaceful, natural settings.

ourism: Expanding tourism infra-
structure across Israel is an out-
growth of mass immigration and
projections for an era of peace. A
water park is planned for the Negev, near the
border with Egypt. In the Hula Valley, JNF is
preparing a safari and water park.

ummer Camps: Thousands of
underprivileged Israeli and immi-
grant children enjoy summer fun
while forming a bond with the Jewish
homeland. The camps greatly ease the absorp-
tion of immigrant children.

S

griculture: A major aspect of
JNF work in the Negev is the
development of arid areas for
productive use. JNF, along with the
USDA Forest Service and five major American
universities, is a member of the International
Arid Lands Consortium.
